Volunteers

Our Greatest Needs

Our greatest need is adults to give of their time to our youth. Homework help, reading a book with a child or playing a board game.  During the summer months, we need help preparing lunches and extra hands to help us with all of our daily activities.

Youth Center (formerly the James W. Evans Children’s Center)

We need individuals to work with our children (grades K-6) and teens (grades 7-12) in our after-school programs. Both the Children’s Center and Teen Center are open from 3:45-6:00 PM, Monday – Thursday. Homework help time runs  until 5:00  and enrichment activities such as sports, art, or cooking start as soon as homework is finished.  You may come and help with just homework time, just enrichment time, or both. We love to have volunteers share their talents and skills with our youth.  Come and volunteer one day and do an art project or outdoor sports activity, help us with our garden, or help prepare a lunch this summer.  Want to get more involved?  Teach dance, soccer, cooking or science classes.  Not sure of how to help, just call or email us and we can help get you plugged in!

Time commitment: Minimum 1 day a week, up to 4 days per week

Duration: September-May (After School Program), June-July (8 Week Summer Program)
